JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities:
Be a part of the global support team to provide 3rd level support in Server Storage and Backup services
Propose proactive improvement initiatives to improve efficiency in Storage operations and implement resolutions as appropriate
Perform operational tasks such as change, configuration, event and capacity & inventory management
Requirements:
Degree in IT or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of working experience in the IT industry, with Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) certification would be advantageous
Possess good technical knowledge in any of the following: Shared / SAN attached disk subsystems, SAN Fabric switch technology, tape subsystems, enterprise backup software, NetApps NAS Filer connecting to Unix, Windows and Solaris
Experience in NetApps hardware and software
Knowledge of UNIX, Visual Basic, Java and / or SQL database would be advantageous
Possess good command of English language, both verbal and written.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities:
Ensure service availability and reliability of Wintel platform servers and resolve incidents within the Service Level Agreement
Provide 3rd level operational support for 3000 global servers, which are hosted on Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 servers.
The technical support activities include:
Operating system, hardware support, Web support, monitoring and security.
Troubleshooting tasks and process improvement in a rotating-shift operating environment.
Ensure any performance degradation, reliability and security issues are addressed proactively
Participate in identifying the root cause analysis of repeating incidents.
Monitor problem/query resolution using ITIL processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in IT/Computer Science/ Engineering
MCSE certification is an added advantage
Minimum 2 years of working experience in Wintel server platforms (with strong background in Windows 2000 and Windows 2003).
Experience in break/fix support activities for web hosting, operating system support, hardware support, security, and other related hosting activities
Good understanding of server and hardware technology
Good knowledge of troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Must be interested in support role and willing to work on rotating 8-hour shift pattern
Possess good command of English language, both verbal and written.
